 Overview

This pair of jeans comes with additional shape enhancing panels which are designed to help sculpt the waist/hip area  and flatten your tummy to give a nice curve and shape. They also act to help support these areas and act in place of additional body shaping underwear.

The jeans themselves have two mock front pocket with diamante detailing and two standard rear pockets. An elasticated waist helps hold the jeans without need for belt.

The white denim offers a styling and smart look with the standard width legs giving many options for wearing with shoes and boots alike.

From a male perspective these jeans offer the same versatility as many others. The styling does help men in the same way as women thanks to the inbuilt sculpting. The lack of front pockets does present a issue if you are not using a bag but perhaps not a major one.

The styling is okay as there are not any real feminine overtones when you go past the elasticated waist, if you choose white then it will be a non-standard colour for most men but again something that cannot be worn without a little thought.

Overall

Very comfortable jeans with the in-built body shaping offers a great option for most people. The jeans are smart, stylish and simple. The denim is soft and feels nice even after 8 hours of wearing. The only real complaint is the lack of front pockets which would have made a good pair of jeans great.

Joanna Hope has a reputation for producing stylish, quality clothes with soft and sensual material and these jeans are no exception!

Made of a soft stretch denim which looks like standard denim but has the feel of cotton trousers thanks to it’s Cotton/Polyester/Eslatane mix), the elasticated waist has belt loops for adding your favourite belt for detailing which when added to the fake zip front pockets and the stud detailing lets these jeans shout out as being suitable for any style. Rear pockets give you somewhere to put something small if needs.

These jeans are tighter than most male jeans which is fine, as it doesn’t present a major problem in that respect. If you are happy with jeans that hug your legs they present little issues but if you go one size up you will get a little more room and freedom to move if you prefer. If you stick to your size then it will accentuate your leg shape.

The stud detailing is feminine but will largely go unnoticed as people do not tend to look around that area on a casual glance. The lack of front pockets could be an issue if you do not carry a bag of some type as the rear pockets are small and only just big enough for a phone or wallet.

There is nothing to stop a male wearing these jeans as long as you are happy with the feminine tones which exist within their styling.

Overall

Nice jeans which are comfortable and soft. The lack of front pockets is a shame and something I feel is often overlooked on women’s jeans, but as most carry a bag this does not present them with a real problem though. The inclusion of belt loops despite the elasticated waist is appreciated as it does let you go up a size and still fit, as well as giving options for styling using coloured or patterned belts. The stud detailing is subtle but works well.

 Overview

These bras come in a two pack in white. They have lace trimmed, non-wired cups and are well padded for comfort. The main features are that they have wide padded straps which are designed for comfort without slipping, the straps are however as a consequence not adjustable.

Designed for everyday use they do  live up on the comfort side and are very easy to wear. The wider straps and rear band design makes gives them a nice look if worn under semi-transparent tops.

Obviously men do not need to wear bras a rule so wearing one does have it’s own risks and problems. You will likely need some padding to fill out the bra cups to make them look right – be that breast forms or breast enhancers, whatever your choice is. Obviously any enhancement of the chest will be very obvious in public but if you are comfortable with that then there is no issue. Without have enhancements there is the chance the bra will crumple at the front as your breast will likely not fill it fully otherwise.

Wearing a bra does also run the “what if I need to need to see a doctor” risk. That is if somewhere to happen and you need medical attention someone may ask you to or just lift your shirt to check you and see it. Again this comes down to whether you can handle this. If you can, no problems – if you can’t don’t wear one in public.

Overall

From a women’s perspective this is a good bra. It is comfortable, easy to wear and looks good. The straps are nice, the extra width giving comfort and support. The lack of adjustment is a little annoying as you cannot tighten them to place them into the position on your shoulders you want.

For a man these are also recommended if you wish to wear a bra. The design hides well and the straps don’t show as much due to the lack of adjustment parts. The seamless design works very well. As long as you can fill out the cups with something there is no issue.

The material is not as silky as hoped, it is very much plain cotton with no sexiness to the feel. That said as a 2 pack you get added value and that should not be over looked.

 Overview

These high-leg boots are designed for everyday use, They have a soft inner lining and very flexible sole with 1 1/2 inch heel to make walking easy and comfortable. A full length inside zip takes any strain out of putting them on and taking them off.

The ridged patent leather design to the calf area gives an every moving pattern which catches the eyes and adds a touch of style to the boots – rather than have plain leather effect outer designs as is often the case.

Boots and men are a difficult combination. The normal is that men do not wear them unless they are Wellington boots or ankle boots for walking etc. As such there is no situation where you can wear these and not stand out, unless you hide them under jeans/trousers which kinda defeats the object of wearing them.

There is nothing to stop a man wearing these boots, but you need to be aware that they will stand out like a bright yellow top on a black background. Confidence and the ability to detune others are key here.

Overall

The styling of these boots is great, they are simple but have a touch of though thanks to the ridged/scrunched design. The soles are well formed and easy to walk in.

The issue is the material. It is patent leather which should be no problem but these boots smell like a cheap handbag! Okay that sounds worse than it is. But as many of you will know if you by a £5-£10 shoulder bag off the internet it is likley from China and it has a certain smell to it as the materials are cheap to keep the price down. These boots suffer like that. They have sadly cut the cost by using cheaper materials to make them. Quality is always King and this is like the court jester trying to play at king. He knows what to do, he can mimic the King but he is not the king and we know it.

A great shame as otherwise these boots are very good value – just wish they had bought better material!!!

 Overview

This slub t-shirt comes in a deep cobalt blue with a lighter blue speckled pattern. A scoop neck shows off the neck and collarbone areas elegantly with ample room for a necklace to set the area off. The dipped 69cm hem and 1/3 length sleeves round things off beautifully.

This is t-shirt for looking good in. A night out with friends, a day out and about. This is when you want to make an impression with adding any formality.

This to presents a bit of a challenge for men as the neckline if a touch low for most. It is impossible to conceal the femininity of the t-shirt if worn unless you cover it right up.

Colour-wise it is fine, the pattern is touch unusual for a male but it can be carried off. The long line hem means it can tuck into trousers well as shown above which is likely the better option than leaving it hanging loose outside.

At home it this top is not an issue, outside – you need to be comfortable in yourself and surroundings to wear this item, there is no mistake.

Overall

This top is a good top. It does what it says on the tin to take a slightly odd analogy.  It is a great female top, it’s comfortable, light, hangs well, looks smart/elegant and gives options for various situations.

The only issue is that transcendence limits it as well as helps it. It is very close to sitting on the smart/casual barrier and being a must have top – but somewhere it misses the mark.  It is neither suitable for a relaxed formal look or slouching around in. It wants to be worn and shown off making you the centre of attention.  It is hard to put my finger on it. I love it but it is just missing….. something!

   Overview

  This jumper, like it’s V-Neck sister (see review here) is a semi-formal jumper that is perfect for any occasion. A scoop neck drops gently down to the collarbone level leaving enough room for a necklace but not dropping too low.

  The jumper is light and easy wearing making ideal for spring thanks to it’s super-soft (70% Viscose, 30% Polyamide) yarn and 3/4 length sleeves.

  The jumper holds you well, showing off your curves and body in a flattering manner. At 64cm long it sits on the lower hip level meaning it does not ride up when you sit down.

  Worn with a shirt/formal blouse you get a smart presentation suitable for any office for occasion where good looks are the call of the day. Worn alone or with a t-shirt & jeans you get a soft casual look ideal for days out shopping, with friends or just having a coffee at home. Smart, good looking, warm and comfortable – all you could want in a jumper.

  Like it’s sister jumper this works well for men and is highly recommended. Worn formally or casually there is nothing wrong with the jumper and it just says “Look at how good looking I am!” A long sleeve shirt will show from under the sleeves but not in a bag way – and rolling your sleeves a little takes any any possible issues you may have. Put a collared blouse under it and no one would even know! A T-shirt & Jeans turns this into the same style causal jumper as for women and would be great for a day / night out with friends or family.

  There is no reason a male could not and should not wear this jumper. It is smart, decent and very comfortable.

  Overall

  This is yet another great jumper which fits on all levels. Smart, bright and screaming of style, it’s simplicity in design shows that less is often more.  It is exceptionally comfortable to wear and an item which you will not want to take off. Because of it’s versatility in formal and casual styles it becomes an essential jumper to have and there is no excuse/reason for not having this jumper in your wardrobe.

This smart and fashionable blouse comes in an ivory colour with a scoop neck set by black contrast outline. Short, set in sleeves with turned up edges add a sophisticated edge to the blouse, whilst the 64cm shaped long hem (which is longer at the front than the rear as is normally the case) brings options for tucking in for a formal look or leaving it for a slightly more relaxed style. 

Made of 100% polyester, the blouse is light, crisp and to the point.

Blouses of this nature are designed to be worn as stand alone items. They flow of the female shape and let light shine and enhance the look. The neckline is designed to show off the collarbone areas again adding to the definition of the female shape. It would be hard to wear the blouse openly without drawing a lot of attention and because of the shape standard formal black trousers would contrast badly against it.

However where this does have a use is as an under shirt. Now this is where a thin shirt or vest is worn under another shirt to cover up body parts or add definition to the shirt. Often worn with semi-transparent or chiffon shirts/blouses, a vest or under shirt can act as an additional lay of warmth as well as a cover for body parts (or underwear) you do not want being on public show. If you have a blouse with a deep v-neck a top like this underneath can also cover the mid/upper chest area offering a layered effect and level of dignity as a result.

For the majority of men this would either be a private wear item or an secondary layer item. It depends on what you wear and how it could fit in with that.

Overall

As a blouse it is light, comfortable and crisp. It says power, strength and force. But at the same time it speaks for subitly of femininity, of timidness and respect – the person who is there but not noticed but people silently are not sure of. This is perfect for the sectary who keeps notes or the bv

On the size I have there is little definition to the blouse shape, less than shown in the images which is a shame as there is room for it. 

Not really a male item sadly but there are options for use if desired.

 Overview

This striped acrylic/wool mix “Space-Dye” style jumper is thick and warm. Ideal for the cold winter and spring months.  The jumper has full length sleeves and a respectable scoop neck letting you layer with a shirt/blouse as needs.

Casual is a nature of this jumper. Jeans, boots and you are away. At 64cm long it covers down to the hips meaning the cold air cannot get in even if it wanted too!

This is a tough one. The style of the jumper does not present a major problem if you are happy wearing non-plain jumpers or simplistic patterns.

The jumper is a little baggy for it’s size and is clearly designed to fit a female frame due to this (but I think it would still be loose and baggy on a woman as well). By this I mean the upper section has a lot of room to allow for female breasts and to hang from them to give shape and definition. There is no “pull” on the jumper so it will not come back in and match curves. One upside is that it could be considered a good thing if your stomach is not as defined as you may like.

There is a very evidence female feel to this, so whilst design wise there is nothing wrong, the “feel” outwardly is that of a women’s jumper so confidence is very much the key to wearing it.

Overall

The jumper being an Acrylic/wool mix does lean it to being slightly itchy at times. Sadly the wool element is only 15%. I cannot help but wish this was nearer 30-40% even if it cost a little more for it. Quality matters in these things and this suffers for it.

The lack of definition in the design is a shame. A little tighter in places would make the look far better. At times it can feel like you are wearing a tent (albeit a warm one) and that is never a nice feeling unless you are inside it and snuggled up.

These longline t-shirt/tops come in packs of two. Both offer a low round neck design with short sleeves. AT the bottom edge is  a split side with a slightly longer (74cm) dipped back adding a touch of style similar to a tunic style to an otherwise simple top.

They come as a 85% Cotton/15% Viscose mix so are soft and comfortable to wear in the cold and warm.

These are basic t-shirts which make them easy to wear as a male. The neckline is high and simple. The length is a little long perhaps but can be worn over jeans/trousers as long as you have the confidence to carry it off – otherwise tuck them in and noone will notice the difference.

Being a 2 pack you get 2 colours which give you a couple of options depending on what you need.

Overall

These tops are very good value and the 2 colours give you more options. The style whilst simple is very relaxed and casual. Ideal for lounging around in, nipping to the shops or just sitting around chatting.

As the saying goes – Keep it simple. The designer did, and boy does it work for it.

This is a soft blouse which is light and floaty in terms of it’s material. At 79cm long it it offers a comfortable look if worn outside but can also be tucked in to give a smarter look if desired.

The blouse comes with a tapered V-Neck design and a pocket with a fake zip closure on the left breast. The neckline comes just above the breast line keeping things elegant and respectable whilst maintaining a relaxed look.  Full length sleeves can be tied up using the gold buttons and ties.

Worn with leggings for a casual look, or Jeans/smart trousers for a smarter but relaxed look this is a very versatile top with many combinations and looks available.

Like a number of tops here, there is a definite feminine overtone to this top, however it is presentable is a male. The neck line is respectable and goes not plunge down to show of the cleavage area of the breasts. The colour is vibrant and the loose design allows it to flatter a male form without loosing much to the lack of breast definition under it.

Tucked into a part of jeans this offers a smart/casual look which will catch the eye but in a good way that can be worn publicly with little concern if desired. For a male the is really a little too long to be worn un-tucked in.

The sleeve ties let you put the sleeves up and they can comfortably be raised further by pushing them up the arm as there is loads of room in the sleeve.

Overall

A personal favourite top and style of top. This the smarter look to the fabric (over the t-shirt feel of other simlar tops) makes this a going out option or work top. You would take this to a party or on the beach, not lounge around home in it.

Highly recommended it will form an essential part of any wardrobe.
